Sennheiser HD 650 deal! - Page 2

Headroom is selling the HD650 for $349 shipped.  They are listed at $499 on website but if you use coupon code hd650 the price drops to $349, you can also call them up and get the same price on the phone.  I just bought them 6 days ago from headroom and couldn't be happier.  The price was $30 more than J&R but I didn't mind paying that extra $30.  Headroom has a great reputation, is a Head-Fi sponsor, and they supply all those headphone charts I've looked at hundreds of times for free.

Congratz!  Although I find those charts absolutely useless, as they hardly convey how a pair of headphones will sound.

Hmmm $300 ish isn't bad at all. When I still owned one, I got them for much lower BNIB at a factory sale of the local distro here, so I took the plunge.

dakmart has them B-stock though, for 280...I bought a used pair of A stock for about 280...with a couple nice cables...and a WOO stand

I've purchased computer parts from ZipZoomFly in the past and they were fine.  They're located in CA.

Exactly a week ago, some employee from Guitar Center told me over the phone that he'd order in a pair for me so I could come in and check it. I waited with the intention of seeing how the HD650s actually fit my head, the build quality, etc and then should I like it, I was going to get Guitar Center to do a price match.

Well, no call back from Guitar Center all week, and when I finally gave them a call today. it turns out that I have to buy them first...something the employee completely failed to mention. I think I"m just going to order from Amazon/Zipzoomfly. I think $343 or so is a good price.

Is Zipzoomfly an authorized Sennheiser dealer? They're not listed on Sennheiser site:

Not sure.

ZZF is only cheap if you don't live in California. Otherwise, there's a sales tax that brings up the the final price. Amazon now has it for $341.95 final price.

Yesterday I saw them for $314.99 at like 9 am Michigan time. Thats 52% off. I was so tempted. Just check like 5 times a day, because the price will switch between the $350 one and a lower one.

That was with $27.99 shipping, so it comes out to be about $343. And that was ZZF selling through Amazon.

Cant you get the "super saver shipping?"

Not for the ZZF deal that's being sold through Amazon.

For the new Amazon deal that currently going for $341.95, that's being sold by another store, yes, that's the final price with free shipping.

thats sad.  $315 would've been a great price for them

(EDIT: never mind, just saw that it's Free Ground Shipping)

If I can get $319 as the final price, it'd be worth the trouble, but otherwise, probably easier to go through Amazon, so just wondering.

With JR you have to talk to a sales rep and find out how low they will go.  I ended up getting Sennheiser IE8's from JR for $275 shipped.  I had fit issues with the IE8's so I experienced their return policy as well.  No problems returning, but make sure to read their return policy to avoid problems.  Amazon is great for returns as long as it is directly through Amazon or Amazon Warehouse Deals.  The best return policy out there in my opinion.  That is why I just purchased my HD650's from Amazon today...I can't wait.
