review sites

Thread Starter

what other audio/electronic/gadget-related websites/forums do you guys visit for a reliable review/article on various products?

reason I ask is, I just googled for a bit and saw a few reviews/articles from onheadphones.c0m

Thought it was good, till I saw the Koss KSC75 entry. It got a 0.5/5 score. I know there are some people that do not like the KSC75s, but to give it 0.5/5? Thats kinda ridiculous

There are no reliable reviews

Just gotta try some mid-fi headphones that are reviewed frequently, find the reviewer who best matches your own impressions, then take the rest of his reviews with a pinch of salt and the other reviewers with a tablespoon.

For headphones, I think this forum is as good as it gets. Lots of varied opinions, lots of widespread coverage.

Also: 0.5/5 for KSC75 has to be a joke. It wouldn't even score that low on an absolute scale without value taken into account. Good little headphones, and served me well for the 8 months it took me to get IEMs. They're now plugged into the no doubt terribly noisy front panel of my old computer, where they serve valiantly for my mother in the face of such horrors as funny cat videos on MSN. Real survivors.

As Head Injury noted, reviews websites are all hit or miss-- too many people out there with different tastes and needs. They tend to be good for basic non-biased information though (what an item comes with, specs, basic problems, build quality, etc.) and most of the time if I just need some basic information, I swing by CNET.

Reviews are even the same on here, note that you'll find some reviews that say a headphone, amp or DAC is awesome and then someone who writes the opposite.
