How to setup Musiland 02 US?

Please help. Here is what I've got so far...

 

Power cord from Musiland running to the outlet, red light comes on.

 

USB output into USB port on computer, Optical cable input to Optical cable output of my computer.

 

AKG K702 goes into the first headphone input on the Musiland 02 US.

 

Installed 1.0.9.0 drivers.

 

Set Windows default audio output device to "Speakers-Musiland 02 US"

 

But there's no sound :(

 

Help please!

 

OS: Windows 7 64 bit, Ultimate Edition

If the red light is on the right side of the 02US, you have the output set to LINE which will make the output to the RCA and not the 2 headphone jacks.

 

Make sure the HP button on the top picture is green, and NOT set to LINE. You can do this by clicking on the HP button.

 

Also, you don't plug your optical output of the computer to the optical output of the 02US. There is no reason to do this, all you need is the USB cable attached from the computer to the 02US.

No problem.

 

I remember panicking the first time I had it connected and there was no sound, until I figured out the above. Enjoy, this is a great DAC and deserves as much attention as uDac but doesn't quite get it
