Up for grabs is a near-mint Headroom Desktop Portable amplifier and DAC combo. There are no scratches, dents, or dings. It was built 12-15-05 and was only used in a smoke-free home office environment. I have never taken it on the go because, frankly, calling its bulky footprint "portable" is a bit of a cruel joke. (IMO) It has served me well for a few years and still operates as new, but I recently decided to take my modest rig in a different direction and I'm not the type to have extra components collecting dust. During its stay, it has handily driven my Sennheiser HD600s on low gain settings. Switching it to mid, I couldn't turn the dial past about 1/3 without it being too loud for my ears. Also, the DAC has been a clear improvement over the sound cards of both PCs I've hooked it up to and it also discernibly bested my new MacBook Pro. Needless to say, it packs a surprisingly decent punch.
Included is the original power adapter, a USB cable, the original manual, the original unused decals, and all original packaging. (including the custom-cut foam insulation) Since its portability is questionable, I never purchased the optional D-cell battery unit.
I'm asking $SOLD shipped anywhere in the continental US. I only accept PayPal, but the fees are included in the buying price. As for trades, I'm looking for Ultrasone Pro 750 or Ultrasone HFI-780. (not necessarily an even trade, mind you) PM and let's work out a deal!
