Asus 1000HD netbook. I got this from a good friend to use on a family trip over the winter holidays and it served that purpose very well. I've been using it in my soldering rig as a music server running Slim Server and it has done that very well too. I currently have it setup so that it does not sleep when the cover is closed, it just shuts off the display so it's pretty power efficient in that mode. It comes with a 500GB HD, 2GB of RAM and both the stock and extra high-cap battery pack. Both the original and aftermarket battery are good for 5 to 6 hours of normal use including watching multiple movies. One thing it does not have is the factory restore disc so if you want to wipe the drive you're on your own. It has XP on it now (and is licensed for that) and I'll leave that installed and just wipe any personal data off of it. I can also include a legit, new copy of Vista Home which could be installed and should run well with the 2gigs of RAM. I have sent a message to Asus about getting another copy of the XP restore disc but I don't know what to expect out of them. I'll take a few pictures and upload them tonight. It's in good shape but has a few scratches on the case and would never pass for new. I'd like to get $225 shipped and paypaled.
