Video Component cable as RCA?

I have a Component video cable [R,G,B] of pretty good quality sitting around.  Is there any issue using it as a RCA cable for audio?  I'm currently using pretty crappy RCA cable and I thought this could be a free upgrade. 

 

I'd obviously have to just not use one of the component cables. 

 

Yes or no?

No, have you noticed that RCA cables have yellow for video, red and white for audio? The colors are there for you to keep in track of which signal you have plugged in with what color connector, there is no law against using red connector for video(colors are just arbitrary markers), since they are all essentially same type of cable.
