WTB: PSU for V-DAC

Thread Starter

Looking to purchase a Music Fidelity V-Dac PSU that would contain voltages from 100v-240v. I would like to use this anywhere in the world. I don't need a massive bulky one either, could be DIY as well.

Please let me know via PM, and i'm in CONUS.

Cheers.

If you know anything good working with 220V, please let me know. I can get one and send you there if I can find.

Yesterday a guy named Jordie game to my place, he wanted to have his vdac modified.

I helped him out and replaced some components.

He had with him a modified PSU made by a freak from Uk, he bought it with the vdac from the UK.

Maybe he will read this and place the adress in here.

I will notify him that i placed this post, so maybe he can drop the adress here.

I heared the mod PSU and its a real better one that vdac s standart type.

And here is Jordi

At first I want to give my credits to Martin for his knowelage and skills for upgrading my V-DAC!

Yesterday I'd listened to the modified DAC and, altough I will let him play for a while to burn in, I really noticed improvements already!

I will ask Martin to describe in detail the changes that he has made to my DAC in another tread.

But the PSU I have is a real nice one. It's called the 'Little Pinky' and it's made by Mike from Rock Grotto.

I can really reccomend this one.

All the best,

Jordi

Changed:

C3-C4 from elco to mkp

Opamp ne5532 exchanged it to op270fz

Other tweaks are little more dangerous to change it for a friend like Jordi.

My own v-dac i did lots more but i cant give any garanty to friends or strangers thats why i only chaged the most important ones.

The Psu he brought with him is clearly better and is realy value for money.
