I am selling a Red Wine Audio Monica 2 Battery Powered DAC on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260617665583&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT)
This is a superb sounding non-oversampling bettery-powered 16 bit DAC that utilizes the Philips TDA1545A DAC chip and runs on clean 12V SLA battery power. The Red Wine Audio Monica 2 is a modified and improved version of the standard Monica 2 DAC. The board is populated with high quality parts using Black Gates and Sanyo Oscon capacitors. For information about the standard Monica 2 DAC please see the website (http://www.tnt-audio.com/sorgenti/monica2_e.html). The DAC and battery are housed inside of a slick looking Context Engineering metal case. The lights on the front indicate power and digital signal status. There is a switch on the back to select between "on" or "off/charge battery".
This particular DAC has the larger capacity battery option that Red Wine offered new for $549 originally. The DAC features a BNC digital input, but if you prefer to use RCA coaxial, you can use a BNC to RCA adapter which is included.
Included are:
- One Red Wine Audio Monica 2 DAC
- One BNC-BNC cable
- 12V SLA battery charger
- OneBetter Cables Silver Serpent Digital Coax Cable RCA/RCA (3 ft)
- One female BNC to female RCA adapter (not showed in the pictures)
Thank you for looking
