Thanks for looking at my ad. I am changing this to a "FS" on my treasured Amphora SE headphone amplifier. I purchased a non-SE Amphora for my father shortly after the amplifier was released. I enjoyed it so much (prior to handing it over) that I asked Ken to build me one of the SE versions of the amplifier. I ended up with serial number 10 of 10 and the casing is stunning Claro walnut. This is a unit that is made from one solid piece of wood in contrast to many of the Amphora amplifiers that were made from two pieces. Because of this, you don't see the joint seam running across the front of the amp.
The SE version includes the silver-in-cotton internal hookup wire. I didn't have the non-SE amp and SE amp at the same time so I can't comment on whether or not I heard a significant difference. What I can tell you is that this amp certainly lives up to Skylab's review and the comments of many other members here. It sounds as beautiful as it looks...and if you saw it you'd know that was a significant compliment!
This amp would ship with the original charger (I ran small diameter techflex over the naked cord to protect it in my setup). I replaced the original feet with small isonode footers...the original feet were just small, clear furniture protectors. The amp is in 10/10, as-new condition.
I am looking for $SOLD for the amp, which basically gives you the SE amp for the non-SE price. All reasonable offers will be considered.
The Amphora is on the left. Additional pictures can be taken as requested.
