Thanks for looking at my ad. This ad is for the respected MHDT labs Havana non-oversampling DAC with USB input. The unit I purchased is in pristine, as-new condition. I am the original owner (purchased roughly three months ago) and I purchased two additional tubes for the unit, both Western Electric 396A type NOS tubes. I also have the original tube the unit was shipped with. All will be included in the sale. Also included will be an additional faceplate for the Havana from MHDT. The original faceplate had some chipping on the back edge of the acrylic and a new faceplate was sent that is in better condition. Even the original faceplate is in excellent condition and many people wouldn't notice the chipping.
I've been feeding the Havana with both an iTransport (via coax) and from my iMac (via optical) and both have produced fantastic sonic results. My primary reason for selling is that I recently acquired a Rega Apollo cd-player and I feel that, although the Havana and Apollo have different sounds, they aren't enough different in the context of my system to justify keeping both. Since 90% of my listening is still done by spinning little silver discs, the cd-player won the coin toss.
The unit will be shipped with its original protective bag, original power cord, and the tubes mentioned. One of the WE tubes is installed in the unit and I'll leave it installed unless otherwise requested by the buyer.
I'm asking $SOLD shipped (CONUS) and paypal'd. That price includes the $100 worth of Western Electric NOS tubes and a mint condition Havana.
Please PM me with interest.
