Needing 200-300$ dedicated optical DAC recommendations

I am looking for a dedicated DAC with optical that will scale well with my Matrix M-Stage amp (270$) and HD 595 (180$) combo. I guess I don't know what to look for in a DAC as far as componants. I really care about the highest sq bang for the buck. Less than 300, maybe even 200 bucks. Ideas? :)

Oh well.. There's always an integrated soundcard as a DAC... ;)

Check out Audiogon for a used DAC. I've been using a 15 yr old DAC (CAL Sigma II) and find it better than a sound card or on board DAC in my players. Used around 2-250.
