i know your really seem keen on the beats but your not likely to find many thinking thats a good way to go.  it is of course your money and you can buy them if you want to

thank you for respecting my decision but if the people of head-fi could find me a good looking headphones ill consider but if its a IEM it dosent have to look that good

but mark in your opinon the RED [PRODUCT] solo's or the white studio beats

is it worth paying 50 bucks extra for noise canceling and around ear

if you travel  with airplanes and trains, then yes. I never tried the monster beat NC though. if not, it's not such a neccessity. on the streets it's better to hear some cars :)

Honest thing is eveyone has differente opinions on good looking. For me the best looking are ADH-ES7. Since you are so keen on the beats and don't mind overhleming bass and lack of detail, go for the beats.

if looks dont matter in an IEM then really that would be the way to go, they are far more practical for out and about.

ive heard neither of the beats so have no idea, given the way ive seen them spoken of round here neither would rank on my list of things to be interested in.

us$50, erm no in my opinion if you want isolation look towards IEM's (i did)  i know thats not really what you want to hear, you remind me of a friend.  he decides he want to buy something and then looks for a validation of that decision and im afraid i dont think anyones going to give that here about the beats.  they by all accounts are all marketing over substance.

well can you list a pair of good quality IEMS to compare if i want the beats solo vs. IEM

the IEMs i have had all cords have broken on me and since there IEMS i rarely use a case lol idk why

well my first thought is the IE8.  it has spectacular bass, a kevlar cable and the cables removable.  its not a big isolator by IEM standards but id be willing to bet it betters that of the beats.

oh and saying you dont use a case so break things isnt really their fault.  if you mistreat something dont be shocked if it breaks.

no i dont blame them but for storage i usually wrap it around my ipod and put it into my pocket

its probrobly going to be IEM vs. solos

IMO, wrapping around an iPod is a killer, specially with a straight plug.

Seems like that would be the place to start.  Buy the best that you can afford and hear what your music sounds like.

Move up to a higher level.  Try an in-ear-monitor with one or more balanced armature speakers.

IEM do not effect eyeglasses in any way.  If anything the glasses hold the cord on top of your ears.

A decent company will stand behind its product for wires also.  bUt if you coil them in an over and under pattern and use the case that is provided on the better products.  You should not have any trouble with cords.

Neither the solo's or the Beats.  Get a real set of monitors.

You should spent 25% more than you think you can afford for a better sounding pair of earphones.  Life is to short to listen to your music through cheap earplugs.

Yes, absolutully!

Bad advice to compromise with the Beats.  Would you buy them?

You have to learn to take better care of your stuff.  A good set will come with a seperate case for your earphones..  Use it!
