Help a Head-Fi Newbie with an LOD

Hey all...brand new up here.  In the process of putting a respectable portable system together but lacking an LOD at this point.

 

Here's what I have...

 

Ipod Nano (5th Gen)

ATH-M50s Phones

MiniBox-D Amp

 

I'm also a Home Theater wacko so I have an appreciation for good wire but am not one to spend stupid $$$.

I see LOD's anywhere from $10 to $200 and I'm curious to hear opinions on what LOD would suite this setup well.

 

My budget is going to be < $100 for sure here.

 

Thoughts?

From what i've read around here (i'm in the same position as you) there seems to be quite a wide array of opinions on the matter. Some people really think the Fiio LODs are great and you shouldn't be spending more than that and others prefer pricier ones.

 

Personally i'll be buying a custom built LOD from ebay. Still haven't decided on which one though. I'm looking at the following ones:

They seem to be built with similar components and they all seem to have great quality for their price. I'm a college/university student so i can't afford to be spending 100$+ for a LOD, and i don't live in the US so availability is a real problem.

I hear the Fiio L1 and L3 are decent. You could check them out too. They are extremely cheap and Fiio seems to make decent products
