Cost to DIY Buffalo 32?

So I buy the kit + power supply, the enclosure (cheap as possible as long as it works) - whats left?

I emailed Twisted Pear Audio days ago, but they still haven't replied.

Any estimates? I'm trying for an eco build with few options and avoiding all luxuries.

Thanks.

Honestly, there are a LOT of options for the buffalo, but if you're looking for bare minimum cost with bare features you can build a buffalo with:

Buffalo II kit $289

9V+9V Transformer $20

IVYIII kit $139.00 USD

15V+15V Transformer $22

$470 will give you a working Buffalo II DAC with coax in directly to Buffalo board and an IVYIII output stage. I think this is quite literally the bare minimum Buffalo DAC. Of course this doesn't factor in the price of the enclosure, jacks, wiring, and other misc. costs.

That is very helpful - thank you. After factoring in the cost of everything else.. I probably have to save up more to build a Buffalo 32.
