Your cat's favourite toys - Page 2

Tin foil smashed into a ball.  I actually had a cat that would go fetch it and bring it back to me.  Hours of fun.

Let's see:
Laser pointer (by far the best, since they cannot destroy it)
Old sock filled with catnip and tied off
Paper grocery bags
Cardboard boxes
Wadded tinfoil
Ping pong balls
Catnip mouse
Long feathers (you can usually find peacock and other feathers at pet shops)
Anything the cat finds interesting that you don't want them playing with ;)
Keep in mind that the modus operandi of a cat is usually hiding and attacking prey. Anything that lets them hide (bags, boxes, etc.) is well loved as well as small objects that can be easily batted around. A ping pong ball is great because it'll bounce around unpredictably.
I had one cat who would go after ping pong balls on a tile floor. She'd slide all over the place and entertain herself for hours.
That one was especially spoiled. She would often lose toys behind furniture, so I gave her new toys all the time. One evening, I got stuck at work late. When I got home, I got a real surprise. She had gone behind all the furniture and dragged out the various "lost" toys and gathered them in the middle of the living room. Really, really weird. But cats are like that and that's half the fun of having one around.
Though it's not a toy, I've found it very, very useful to put a cheap heating pad (I paid around $10) into a basket or box with an old bath towel on top. It's like a cat magnet. They love a warm place to sleep and this will keep them off the furniture.
Oh, and one of the best cat toys is another cat. :) Twice the potential destruction, but they do like companionship. Most of the time, anyway. You'll get plenty of amusement watching them chase each other and stir up trouble.
Be sure to give the kitty plenty of attention and affection. Anyone who thinks cats aren't affectionate has never had a cuddly one. Once you win a cat over, they will stalk you around the house and climb all over you any time you're not standing up.

According to our research the best cat toy is this one. My apologies I do not know what it's called,

but my dog loves it too. Comes with catnip to put on the scratching pad. Crazy awesome, and very

cheap.

They do that for bragging rights... I have had our cats lining up rats in front of my feet when out  to show me her skillz. Even though I steal their rats if I caught them dragging them into the house they keep on yelling that they got food. Guess they want me to eat first ;) I guess those ping pong balls is your cats trophy in lack of the real deal.

Depends... Our cats tolerate each other at best. Used to hate each other but after eight long years they have learned to ignore eachother and eat together even. Not as much fighting and hatred going on anymore. Guess the mother have abandoning the idea of pushing her son away. And her twice as big son has stopped jumping here. I suppose it would been easier to get a pair of brothers and sisters instead of a bitchy mom and stupid son. Cats are surely affectionate... But not to the suffocating levels like dogs.

My fat cat being bright orange/ ginger can be spotted miles away by the local wildlife, so his modus operandi is to prey on unsuspected neigbours, making loads of funny noises and generally being very friendly/pushy in order to get food from them !
