Hi all! I have for sale a pair of Headphile "Luke SkyBeyers" in beautiful rosewood. I purchased these unique cans here about three months ago and have enjoyed them very much, but my newly instituted "one in, one out" policy means it's time to find them a new home. They're based on Beyer's DT770/32 "Manufaktur" closed headphones, which have been modified by Headphile with rosewood cups, BlackMax recable and very nice Beyer leather pads.
At 32 ohms, these cans sound very good directly out of a portable device or laptop, and also scale very nicely with a relatively neutral amp. They're quite well balanced with emphatic bass that manages to be extremely present but not overwhelming of the rest of the spectrum.
Asking $350 PRICE DROP! $325! ANOTHER PRICE DROP! $300 shipped (USA and Canada) and including all fees -- these are now seriously priced to move. These cans are in good shape overall, though the left cup does have a minor imperfection in the rosewood -- it's kind of a shallow impression, as if someone had pressed a sharp fingernail into the wood. I attempted to represent it in my pictures -- I don't feel it compromises the beauty of these headphones, but I wanted any interested buyers to be aware.
PM if interested -- you will not be disappointed in these great-looking (and even better sounding) headphones. Thanks!
