You mean the one that runs on USB power?

My T1 came admirably to the fore with the WeeeeeeSquirrel DV336SE and definitely scaled up nicely with the Fitz-Max Bada PH-12.  I liked them less with the likes of the all SS AMC XIA and Denon AVR-1905.  It's just that every time I swap out the T1 for the DT880/600, I feel like an avowed up-until-then vegetarian who discovers the juiciness, sinew and swallow of a New York Top Sirloin more to his palate.  : )

Yes, believe it or not, though it was not an overly challenging piece of music.

Have the Bada up-and-running again with the same tubes still stuck in it from the last session (a Tung-Sol 6SN7GTB and two Sylvania 6SN7GTA).  Enjoyed a lingering session with, er, the DT880/600 and the UP-OCC K501.

The Bada offers much more detail, better height, width and depth, and more refinement, but less tonal engagement than the WS-336SE.   (Going from the DV336SE with "warm" tubes to the Bada with "neutral" tubes is somewhat analogous to going from the DT880/600 to the T1--on a "good" day.)

The in-laws are coming for the next few weeks, so my headtime may become erratic.  Will try to get at the T1 tomorrow; if not tomorrow, then in another day or so.

Thank you all for your fine contributions to this thread.  These forums have helped stem the tide of my restless mind over the past sixteen--count 'em, sixteen--months of my unemployment.  DEO gratias(!): my term of joblessness has ended.  I begin work in Corning, NY, in mid-August.  : )

Thank you, MH.  I, too, hope the new job is everything I'm looking for, because the T1 sure aren't.  <<<  Sorry!  Couldn't resist.  : )

Dream this way? I used to, too, but it's certainly no picnic when you're straddling your 50's!

: )

Such long unemployment would be tough even here, but in the US with its greater affinity towards possession & wealth it must be hell I guess.

There's that old saying, "Be careful what you wish for..."
