Monster Turbine Pro Golds... No bass? - Page 4

I have a question regarding bass.

My right speaker are not producing equally amount of bass as the left speaker does. When Im looking at the right speakers nozzle head, its "net-like" surface is damaged. Its pressed down a bit - indentation. This indentation was there from start. I have only had these for 2 days. Yes they are 100% real.

Could a indentation on the nozzle head surface cause this kind of problem? - e.g. lower bass production?

I'm having the exactly same problem though its on a pair of a-JAYS four... I was making some stupid diy custom molded tips and the material was stuck in the metal grill, so I removed it in order to clean it but when I remove it, I accidentally pressed it down a little. I know what I did is stupid but the result is still quite good XD, because of this issue I'm planning on spending another $100, it would be nice if the problem can be fixed though

I completely agree with mvw2. He worded it perfectly. When I see all these posts of people saying that MTPG are basshead IEM's or have too much bass I am fairly certain that they have never heard the MTPG.

Two points:

1) Turbines of all flavors are very sensitive to insertion depth.  This is why I find mine a little frustrating as I have mainly relegated them to times when I am less active.  A little movement in or out makes a huge difference.

2) Folks who want even more bass in their IEMs probably should evaluate proper closed over-the-ear headphones.  Then, at least, you get more bass sensation on your head without the long-term damage.  If I want to feel bass, I don't want it originating from a tiny speaker inserted into my skull (as cool as that sounds)... I want to feel the bass on my body...

edit: The reason I'm saying that last point is because I think "Basshead" means different things to different people.  I feel like it is often used to mean "I want a kick in the ears that makes me feel like I'm listening to a subwoofer".  Which is probably unrealistic or at least unhealthy.
