Sunday Bloody Sunday (U2)

Thread Starter

First, check the newspapers. Cameron apologized for 'Sunday Bloody Sunday.'

Second, for this particular news I had to revisit the track on Youtube because it is one bloody good track.

Third, I dislike politics because good or bad, political matters are polarizing. That does not mean good politicians should be ignored and with 'good' I refer to people with good ethics and good ideas both for their own people (rather vague, I know) and everyone else for that matter. I prefer to stay shallow in this post because I do not want to discuss politics, I just want to address some important news.

The aim of this post:

What is your favourite version of 'Sunday Bloody Sunday' by U2?

I am doubting between these versions:

P.S. I might be Dutch but this is important news for everyone who considers good ethics essential for living together. I will not be more specific, this track now deserves some attention in the light of the apologies made for 'Sunday Bloody Sunday.'

My regards,

Deep Funk

It is certainly a very powerful song, well worth listening to in light of the recent announcement.

There is a live version from Dublin on the DVD 'U2 Go Home' which contains a lot of emotion; I wonder if they have ever performed it here in the north.

My favorite version is the one I heard live in Copenhagen in July 2005 on the Vertigo tour. The concert was very emotional and the rain poured down heavily on the stadium - but it was a fantastic night. I remember being high and very emotional after the show for several days after that concert.(Next live concert will be August 16th 2010 ...)
