Bass almost completely disappears. ??? Do you mean it clears/cleans up? BOOMY bass disappears? Typo, maybe?
I'm deciding between a Fuze or Sony e345 player to replace my old Zune30. If this LOD helps SQ with the Fuze, it might be worth getting that. On my sons's Fuze, when I bump up the bass for my RE0, the EQ'd bass is a bit loose and not-well defined. Maybe the LOD will improve the bass quality?? BTW, I would use a Cardas interconnect to go from the LOD out to my amp input, which is a better-than-stock cable.
No, the bass completely goes away on some lods. LODS bypass the internal amp in your mp3 player, bass is immensely reduced, and one of the ones i just sold removes 99% of the bass, but it made the mids and highs clear as a bell. So i paired it with a cmoy bass booster 2.02 and enjoyed ;)
but i also have a fuze lod that keeps some of the bass, so it really depends.
