Emeralds- Does it Look Like I'm Here ?

 I heard this for the first time the other night and I'm really liking it.

 

It's very definitely electronic music and it has somewhat of an 80s vibe with lots of obvious synth sounds to it but it's quite beautiful.

 

The first track, Candy Shoppe, reminds me a lot of Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells.  The second track has a Philip Glass sound to it (though electronic) and throughout the album I hear nods to artists like Brian Eno, Kraftwerk,Moby, Animals as Leaders and others.

 

Highly recommended

Is it as drony as Allegory of Allergies?

This is my first exposure to Emeralds so I have not heard anything else by them.

 

However I would not describe the sound as drony
