well, I for one would say (@burnspbesq and others) that I've yet to be sold on amarra, having tried it here. at best it seems to be quite a bit further down the line for me in terms of upgrades to my main speaker system, let alone my not so tricked out headphone setups. (I long ago decided not to put all eggs in one closely watched basket, but to have choices - and trade-offs). I do like the Ayre QB-9 a lot from hearing it elsewhere, but haven't plunked down for that either, trying to make do instead with one Transporter and two CIA VDA2 setups. to the OP, I would say take one step at a time and don't let dealers, friends, and online acquaintances rush you on the discovery path! ;-)
