Updating Firmware on Nationite S:Flo2

Okay so I read here:

http://www.mp4nation.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=16221

That

Win 7 32 and 64bit
erratic behavior here im afraid with possible connection issues, tool issues and other stuff

definite issue is connecting the player, for win7 it appears the you need to have the player is the OFF position/state for it to connect as a USB drive, if the player is on the it will go straight to charge mode (as of version 2.00 teclast beta firmware and 1.20 firmwares)

  • can charge via PC USB port
  • can connect and transfer - but some have reported slow speeds, some not
  • can NOT use the update tools for firmware updates
  • can NOT install specialized drivers for updates and repairs

So my question is that if I were to upgrade the firmware on the S:Flo2 on a Vista 32 bit computer, would I be able to then add music and such from a Win 7 Source?  I know it says that you can add files and such but the updating of the firmware then using it on another computer is my real question here.

Bump

The quick answer is yes. The updating tool is designed for XP and can run smoothly on some 32bits PC, but probably won't do 64bits. You can update using another PC, then copy files on Win7 64bits as USB removable drive (a.k.a. memory stick)

Also don't bump every few hours.
