doesnt stranded wire consists of thinner wires? wouldnt the resistance of the individual wires be more? remember than cross section area affects resistance not surface area
yes individual resistance is more, but in parallel - s0 total resistance is much lower than 1 single strand. Individual divided by number of strands
but wouldnt the currents among all the wires be different since they have varying resistances due to distance and blah? shouldnt we only take into account the weakest link?
