UE Custom cables VS westone ES2 cables slots

hi guys i have just reshelled my ultimate ears triple fi with unique melody. I have decided to run on the ultimate ears customs cable. However i was given the option of a westone es2 cable slot or a ultimate ears universal slot. I do not know which is a better fit for the ultimate ears custom cable. Is the westone slot a better fit for the ultimate ears custom cable as compared to the Ultimate ears universal slot ? i understand that the ultimate ears custom cable pins are abit larger den the universal cable pins so it may not fit a universal cable slot well. Advice ?

The Westone ES2 Cable and the Ultimate Ears Custom Cable are virtually identical. The Custom Cable will fit best into the Westone cable slot and vice-versa. Using this cable slot, you can easily use any custom cable (JH Audio, Westone, Ultimate Ears, TWag, TWag balanced, etc).

I didn't know they were identical! 

 

Thought the UE slots are abit recessed or something...

No they are not identical. Go with 'custom' slot.
