I'll likely ship via FedEx ground.

He took Asr's place is why, and he's a good reviewer, so he got in.

Anyone in the Bay Area who wants to listen to them is welcome to come over while they are with me.  Just send me a pm I work from home so I will likely be around during the week.  Those with big amps are especially welcome

Still waiting for El Doug comments as he has them a week now. I thought Doug would have commented on these and Aaron who get them next.

The most that having it swing to Chicago would delay things is one day. Not a big deal - it's not like I live northern Canada ;)

Fang, would it be possible for me to re-take the West #3 spot that I was originally listed at? I didn't originally ask to participate because I didn't have an amp that would capably drive the HE-6, but I recently bought a B22 amp that should drive it just fine. If it's not too late I'd be interested in participating in this loaner program now that I'll have a good amp for it.

My currently-owned headphones are listed in my profile.

It's going to be more than one day delay with FedEx ground, which is likely how I'll ship it.  Takes more time shipping from one end of the state to another vs. shipping across the continent via ground.

There's also increased shipping cost too for further distance if we're going to nitpick here.

Anywho, if you don't mind it making a stop with ASR in Colorado along the way, I'll ship it to him first, if not, I'll send it straight to ChiTown.

Hmmmm.... I do have a Jadis Defy 7 just sitting on a dolly over in the corner that might do well with the HE-6's.

Still, properly re-tubing the Defy 7 (12 x 6550) will cost more than most of the speaker amps that testers have been using. So do I really want to go down that road?

I'm really happy with the HE-5LE's being driven by the Asgard, but for me the Asgard was not up to driving the 6's (neither was the Audio-gd Phoenix). Methinks I'll wait until I can borrow a set of 6's and the see how they do with my Jadis or my JC1 Mono's or yes even my NAD 326BEE. There's no rush.

They'll do very nicely with the NAD. The NAD I used sounded great with them.

I'm happy to pay for any extra shipping costs.

W/r/t ASR, this is up to Fang, but since I took ASR's spot, he's of course welcome to have it back, and Fang can decide where, when, how, or if to include me - it's his show.  I'm happy to participate if possible.

Darn it, that would mean I'd have to wait an extra week to get my pair :(  Btw Skylab, for how much longer are you holding on to your pair?

I'm not sure what you mean - I will have them for 1 week, like everyone else (from when I get them, which is now somewhat undetermined ).

I think we can all wait an extra week for 2 folks who have done quite a bit for head-fi.  IMO, it's not a problem for both of you to have them or a week.

I think he meant adding ASR back into the list, so he would get it next, then it would be off to you after him.
