Well the right channel wire in my Soundmagic PL-50 IEM is broken. :(
Fortunately it was right next to the armature end, so I can reuse the same wire. However I'm wondering how I should prepare and solder litz wire since I haven't worked with that sutff yet. Do I need to sand off the coating? Will the temperature of the solder melt off the insultator in the process? What the best way to do this without resorting to expensive tools?
