I'm currently eyeing the CAL! (d1001) cause theyre really affordable and supposedly sound really good, ES-7(havent heard enough about these TBH, I like audio-technicas though), the HD25-1 ii(expensive, I know:(), and the M50's. kind of in a similar boat as you!

If you like the RE0 I'd suggest the Sennheiser HD600, there a bit more than your budget so while you're saving up for them pick up the JVC RX700 for $33.

This is funny because I was an ignorant tool. Not even that long ago... Hm. Everybody told me:

M50 or AD700

I just said, "What about this *Random other headphone*". I ended up with the HD 448's. I love them. No complaints for the price but I probably could have gotten better cans in retrospect.

Thanks everybody for putting up with my lameness. I'm starting to feel the upgrade bug again, eying something the level of the AKG 701 or HD600. $300 range, with my new E7. RE0's sound signature is beautiful to me, I want nothing less than neutrality, so a little bass would be nice compared to the RE0's. It will probably be sometime in March, after the Bay Area meet when I make my decision.
