I'm already hammered, can't find the nachos...

As an American studying in the UK, I hope US wins for my sake or i'll never hear the end of it.  I don't hold high hopes though.

I hope the USA win simply to shut the English up. The BBC had a feature which was so anti-American it was disgraceful - basically an attack on American sport.

Gah as I was typing this England scored!

If the US won it would only be spoiled by the fact that the country at large couldn't care less.

I wager England will, once again, snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Well baseball is more boring but I like baseball more just because they dont exagerate whenever someone touches them... But as a canuck, I have to say hockey is the best sport ever :)

despite being tied 1-1, England is showing much more team cohesion, and is on the offensive way more than the USA...  I sure hope we can somehow pull a win :)

I don't want to start a war here was just making a comment.

Nah, It's fine going in not expecting to lose it's the expecting to win that gets me a bit. Getting behind your country and your team is fine and obviously you hope to win. I think it's just the English TV personalities that do my head in, you know what they're like... so I'm not speaking for every Englishman.
