Portable DAP w/ Special Requirements

Thread Starter

I am trying to set up an small portable rig but I want the DAP to meet the following requirements.

1. Must have a line out as well as a headphone out.

2. Must accept SDHC cards (not the micro).

3. Must play FLAC files.

4. The smaller the better.

5. Minimum of 12 hours of play time.

It does not need to include:

1. Radio.

2. Ability to play video.

3. Other stuff like calendars, pictures, etc.

If you have a suggestion please advise, thanks.

Not many players feature a true line out. The Cowon D2+ ticks all your other boxes however, and with the volume at max (or at 39, some say) and all the effects turned off, it's pretty close to a line out. It's certainly small, and boasts a 52 hour battery! In future, I shouldn't think there'll be many (if any) players made that accept full size SD cards either, and the various D2s do.

Interesting that only the D2+ comes close and only misses the line out. Thanks.

I'm not saying ONLY the D2+, but it gets pretty close to your requirements with that one omission. I'm struggling to think of anything else, but there might be something out there.

Nothing springs into my mind that has a SDHC slot, everything else is relatively easy to tick.
