For me The Verve's "History" somehow defines an important period. Their "Bittersweet Symphony" is excellent but just misses the mark for me. If you want timeless check out old Jazz and Funk, Marvin Gaye's "T Plays It Cool" is an excellent track. Devin Townsend has some good tracks, tricky for that brings me to Kyuss' "Capsized". So much good music...
