Anyone who knows me, knows I love some Neil Diamond. America, while a patriotic song, is even more a hope song. The hope of all races, all creeds, for a fresh start in the world, no matter where they reside. It is one of the great Western works of art as far as I'm concerned.

If you can stretch another decade, look at the two albums by Jim Noir. The lyrics aren't particularly deep, but the songs are infectious and fun. Perfect summer pop confections for a drive along the coast.

Are you recommending Jim Noir based on my last post or based on the thread? All I meant with this thread is that anyone can post their fav clips/tracks. Not that I mind you didnt or maybe you just did

Thanks for putting that one up - what a great band they were!  But what a strange setting with the dance floor, and BJ right up front, Matthew F in a hood, and Gary Brooker without a 'stache!  Do you know who was playing bass?
