I buy a imod recently I find a problem , I used rockbock can control the line-out volumn , is it normal??? or my imod have problem??

its normal as the volume control ib rockbox is done in software. you can also set EQ, precut highcut etc and all of this is done with software DSP

I have a 5.5 iMod Rockboxed - no volume control with mine.

depends where he is adjusting the volume.the clickwheel obviously doesnt work for volume when the song is playing, but i'm thinking he might be in where the EQ and precut is and this DOES work as its all DSP in software. sorry I should have been more clear with that

Rockbox's latest firmware updates include Line Out volume control. I have no idea why. I was trying to remove that option but can't.

why remove it?? its just software, if you have it turned to 100% its the same as not being there

Because I can't reach in and touch around without screwing the volume. Plus even the software has gain

talk to them, cant say i'm having any issues, but email one of the DEV team or post in the RB forums, likely they'll be able to help you with a patch or something

Glad to see this thread. I just got my iMod 5.5G and indeed the volume control affects the line out. It seems to start lowering it at -58db continuously until it is silent at -90db. Between -57db and +6, is all sounds the same. I am just leaving it around -5db.
