Going Blind.

Why oh Why is this site so hard on the eyes even with the so called adjustments.

Here is a forum to compare it with http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/index.php

You can spend hours there with no strain at all.

Very easy to see why a lot of old faces are seen less lately.

Have you tried changing the brightness setting on your monitor?

I think it's the lack of darks more so than the colors are too bright. They've adjusted the brightness a little already, and most of the forum is now a light grey, but there's still very little dark blue to contrast it. Darkening the blues rather than the greys might help more at this point.

Though I'm used to it and it doesn't hurt or bother me at all anymore. Still don't like the interface, and despise the text editor with a fiery passion, but the colors are fine with me.

Yeh, they did make a little less brighter a while back - at the start it was horrible.

Changing the brightness ( Ha could you imagine doing that for every site you visit ) would do nothing for a problem that is caused by contrast,or in this case a lack of it.

Such a shame to see what was a great site, degenerate.

Blame it on Huddler!
Many of us really prefer the old trustful forum software over the current one.

Try the "Blank Your Monitor" Firefox extension.

I agree. I have tried my best and just don't like it at all :/ Although it could be worse if they used yellow text on white background....

Yes I agree it could be worse, but you would think someone would do something about it,or is it the case of the software developers trying to have it stand out from others.

If the later they have succeeded but for all the wrong reasons, this site might still have the same traffic count but it appears to be well down on post and new thread counts.

Times are changing but I do not have to change with them.

I'd also wager a guess that a larger portion of the traffic is now one-post newbies who drop by, buy a $30 Sennheiser instead of their intended Skullcandy, and disappear. Not healthy for the continuation of the hobby if I'm right.

Could not agree more,it becomes a no-win situation when there is only one main forum for headphones.

Audiokarma have a headphone section but not to many seem to go there.

I know that there are other forums but the less said about some of  them the better.

Fancy that. Well I haven't been on the site much in the past month and yes it is bright. My eyes...

we really need some alternate skin options - especially a high contrast light text over dark background option, akin to this:

I applaud the effort put into this new Head-Fi, but it is really really REALLY REALLY REALLY HARD TO READ!

no one should have to adjust their monitor to read a forum

Is there anybody out there listening,or are we just wasting are time.

Or is it a case of burying your heads in the sand until the problems or the members disappear,if the later maybe you will do something when revenue starts to drop.
