that ie8 is bad for you... reaaaaaal bad lol... Did you love the sound so much that you turned up the volume? Or maybe you need to time to get used to your iem; it happened to me when i first got my tf10.
I had those in my younger days. Most of the time it was caused from diet. On occasion tension headaches start up and I've found otc Migraine or Tension products (3) knocks it out. The caffeine shrinks the blood vessels. Once they are in full bloom, they are hard to get under control.
As Happy Camper states, if caffeine is a large part of your daily or weekly food and drink intake, try to reduce the amount of caffeine you are ingesting. I was getting headaches that were splitting my head apart through college and the first couple of years of work and I was drinking large quantities of coffee, tea and soda with caffeine in them. I'd weaned myself off of coffee and tea but soda was still a big problem until a year or so ago and now, the head-aches and migraines are fewer and fewer.
I also had migraines daily when I was a kid, but the doctor said it was due to some chemical imbalance or something like that.
I had a prescription medication called Sibelium which I had to take daily (half of adult dosage of course, I was 8 or 9). My mom also have that and still taking that medication, so that might be an option. Obviously, I'm farrrrrrr from eligible to give you a medical advice. See what your doctor says

Diet definitely causes them with some people, mine come from eating too much processed dairy foods, like ice cream. And those tension headaches, man... those suck. I use midrin for those, and it's funny how once you start to get them more frequently you begin to notice exactly where they are causing the pain.
The first thing my doctor had me do was to keep a journal of what I was eating and drinking every day. That's when I noticed I got them after having a very rich dessert, and it wasn't always that same day, usually the next day is when they would come. Weird I know.
otc stuff works good for most, as long as you're using the ones that are targeting the area that needs it, sinus, tension or regular migraine.
of course, there's always the all-natural route, with medicinal grade pot
. to each his or her own!
good luck on getting them under control!
Interesting posts!
I used to get terrible migraines once a week. I finally found that there were two possible causes: First, I drank too much milk as a child and had a calcium-magnesium imbalance. Second, my neck was really stiff. The simple fix was a cal-mag supplement and a few visits to the chiropractor followed by daily stretches. I'm not sure which one did the trick but I haven't had a migraine in almost 10 years.
In the meantime a specialist prescribed Zomig. While it certainly worked, they were $20 a pill AFTER insurance and obviously did nothing to solve the underlying problem.
My father used to have very extreme migraine until he was put on a course of very powerful injections, eventually the migraines stopped and the cure was permanent. I'll see if I can find out the name of the treatment, but I'll say now the circumstances may have been unusual as he suffered Lymphoma in the early-mid 1980's and the chemo-therapy back then was pretty nasty stuff, so he had health problems years later. The migraine treatment was in the 1990's on the NHS, but from what I understand the cost to the NHS was staggeringly expensive. I mention it as I imagine these days there are probably cheaper, just as effective alternatives that will may stop the migraines.
The most important piece of advice though: consult a doctor!
You can gather a bit of information on forums and websites, but this is not the place to get real medical advice.
