I'm looking to buy a new soundcard for my PC

I was thinking on a Auzentech Auzen X-FI Home Theater HD.

But I see that some of the Asus models and the the Auzentech Forte are very popular in here...

I really need some lights on this guys...

Cheers

It's interesting. Anyone seems to recommend the Auzen X-FI Home Theater HD despite the fact she's the top of the range of Auzentec.

Why is that?

Do you need the Bluray features of the Home Theater HD, if not buying it is kinda a waste IMO.

For the record...I have an Auzentech X-Fi Forte sound card. I have had periodic problems with this sound card for over a year. It plays music fine, but movies are another story. I hear everything during a movie or video except for the voices. When they are present they are muffled. I beleive the issue is a driver problem. I can't get any help on this matter from anyone. Auzentech won't even reply to my service tickets. I've been to their forum with no responses and no help also. If you check out their forum, all of the posts are pretty old and nothing new. I think everyone has quit using it. I posted a few days ago, and no other action has been noticed on the site. That may help you in deciding about Auzentech products. There are rated high, but I haven't foudn any good reviews.

I'm currently looking for another sound card for 7.1 surround performance. I have a good logitech THx certified 7.1 surround system.

I been using ASUS Xonar HDAV1.3 for everything; games, movies and music and it worked well in all occasion. The Dolby Pro Logic IIx and Dolby Virtual Speaker works well in games and movies, and you could dump those in HiFi mode when listening to music. I suggest you try it as well. I just have the normal HDAV1.3 without the H6 surround daughtercard which is featured in Deluxe model.
