Noise with OPA637AU

So I just got the opamp, OPA637AU to replace the stock opamp on my Auzentech Forte.  After listening with it, I've noticed there to a "buzz" noise in the left channel on certain tracks.  It also happens when there are deep, thunderous, booming noises while playing Bad Company 2.  The "buzz" is not loud but it is certainly noticeable.

So is this an issue with the 637 series opamp or is it a defective opamp that I've received?

OPA637 is only stable for >4 gain...but the manufacturer says that it should work on your Forte: http://www.auzentech.com/site/products/opamp_intro.php

anyway, use a "unity gain stable" opamp and see how that goes

Where did you purchase the opamp from?

As much as I hate to state the obvious...

It could either be a problem with the adapter or the left channel op-amp.

You could try swapping the left and right op-amps. If the buzzing moves to the right channel, then it's the op-amp. If it stays on the left, then it's probably the adapter.

I guess it oscillates a bit?

Chips are stable at different gains. If manufactures states that they work from gain of 5 and above, then the 5 is a minimum , but some individual chips may work at 4 or 6 , it is just a spec.

Thanks for the reply guys,

btw, it happens in both channels when a sustained sound occurs.  Like the long twanging of a distorted electric guitar, or the lengthy booming of a distant explosion in Bad Company 2.
