SOLD: Harman Kardon AVR-144 5.1 Surround Receiver

Pristine condition, used maybe 10 times. Comes with working remote which alone is usually worth ~$50 on ebay. Has a very nice headphone output, and can do Dolby Pro Logic, Dolby Pro Logic II, DTS Neo:6, DTS 96/24, and Dolby Digital. Tons of digital inputs, would make an excellent home theater receiver. I'm strictly 2 channel now so I no longer need it.

SOLD

I noticed that you have the HD600.  Have you used them with the receiver?  Besides the features of the headphone stage, is it any good at driving a headphone like the HD600?  ("any good" meaning sufficient enough for casual listening, not necessarily enough to bring out every last bit of resolution)

Actually it is. It does a rather fine job with it. It can drive my HD600s great. I just happen to have a better setup with my modded Maverick D1 / Hitachi HMA6500 now, so I don't really have a use for this, though its sound is certainly no slouch. Online its often reviewed very highly for its SQ considering what it is. I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a starter headphone amp / multichannel solution looking for a bargain. sp70.

EDIT:  I just double checked. I had my Pioneer transport -> coaxial -> the receiver. Also, I found that 50% was far more than enough volume, it really cranks, I wouldn't even go over that.

I'm suprised this is still available. I just bought a Adcom amp for my 2 channel setup but if I saw this before I pulled the trigger I would have done a 5.1 setup...still tempted!
