Google background images.....

I'm I correct in seeing that google now has these background images on its main search page? I keep loading it that way, and it's annoying me. Anyone found where they offer the classic, white homepage? Call me a purist, but I always liked Google for being absolute clean and simple!

Okay, so I see I'm not the only one seeing this. It's just so cheezy looking, like stepping back into time when things like wallpapers meant "make your computer your own!!" How about some pics of puppies and clowns! More flowers! Eeeeccch. What a dumb decision on Google's part. Those simple little Google logo variations were smart and whimsical. Now my homepage looks like a circa 1990 PC with bright, bouncy rubber balls! Weeeeeeeee!

I like it, and no difference in load times.

It is gone for me, unless I sign into my mail/google account, where I specified that I want a particular "wallpaper."

If I may offer a tip, I fing HATE the new little bar they put off to the side as well as the wallpapers, go change your language setting to BORK BORK BORK or klingon or an obscure language and POOF no more stupid bar, no more stupid wallpaper.
