HeadRoom Little Amp with More Power supply.

Hello all

For your consideration is an older HeadRoom Little amp with a hardwired More Power power supply. they are both in "cosmetically challenged" condition, to use the parlance of our times. They are each held together by about 4 (2 front, 2 rear) screws as opposed to about 12 as intended. They both show signs of wear, with the aluminum clearly showing through the anodization in many spots around the edges.

Despite these flaws the amp and PS both work perfectly well. I originally bought them for my desktop rig at work, and they did not disappoint in any way. The amp has tons of power and drives everything I have thrown at it cleanly and to the outstandingly loud levels that seem to be preferred by people who "just want to try" my new gear, while still maintaining the delicate control and finesse that is necessary for my own preferred lower levels. This amp has HeadRoom's AWESOME crosfeed circuit, and I agree wholeheartedly that it is a great thing to have around.

Some pictures because everyone likes pictures. Please click to see full poster sized images. 56k death....

The amp and the PS together. OOh so very cute.

The amp.

The power supply. DBT by people who I think are deaf, and knew which screws they were putting where told me that putting the screws in different holes on the amp and PS like this resulted in a substantial improvement to SQ. Seriously, I think the other holes are stripped.

For this awesome little amp i would like $150 (includes shipping & paypal) within the USA.

What high-impedance hp's have you used with it and what is the length of the amp-ps cord?

I have used it with a bunch of high impedance headphones.

Senn HD414

AKG K240 sextet

Senn HD800

Senn HD650

Senn HD580

They all sounded great, although I confess I'm a tube guy at heart.

The cable is a little longer than 3ft.

And what about low impedence headphones? Need something with a lot of current to drive my HE-5LEs, which have an impedence in the 30s.

I have run low impedance headphones on this as well.

My primary work headphones are SR-60 with pink drivers, and they are awesometoast on this amp.
