Upgraded cord for my Sennheiser IE8

Does anyone know where I can buy one?

I want to upgrade the cord/wire.

I'm willing to pay a lot of money :)

Thanks

I was pondering this today myself.

I was thinking how hard it would be to stick IE8 connectors on the end of a Blue Jeans MSA-1 Y-cable...

But then it would kind of ruin the comfort and portability...

Whiplash audio has an upgrade cable for the IE8, no pictures but its there.

I got this one and when I first tried it, it sounded identical to the original cable. I let them burn in for 3 weeks with the IsoTek CD. After, I noticed a change right away. The highs are brighter, the thick sennheiser bass sound is gone but still has the impact that I like, and there is more 'air' around the music. The cable itself is thin and the connectors don't lock in place like they do with the stock cable but I'm really enjoying the sound now. I can now crank the bass dial without getting overwhelmed!

I thought I'd resurface this and ask a question in leu of my friend who owns the IE8.

He gets a ton of line noise from his audio sources (crappy desktop, and his phone). He was wondering if the silver connectors had anything to do with the sensetivity of the IEM. Playing my monster's through his phone, I get virtually no line noise, but the sennheisers pick up rediculous chatter.

Anyway, could anyone with the cables post their experience with line feedback? does it still sound as chattery? muted? attenuated?

Thanks guys!

Try out the Cables from Whiplash Audio. Pretty sure they won't disappoint you.

lol, my buddy would have a heart attack if he learned he the cables would cost him as much as his headphones. Would you reccomend any other alternatives? He likes the sound of the IE8's, just not the line noise.

PS: he'd rather not carry an attenuator, which is why he was hoping a cable would be the cureall.
