Indeed he does. These are DT770 / 80 drivers, nice and bassy :)

The open sounds is quite different, mostly in the soundstage. This is a VXD3-O with a BlackMax cable I believe, based on Headphile's cabling convention here: http://www.headphile.com/page2.html

Did it bring out the mids?  IIRC, I think it was the 770 that I thought the mids were slightly recessed.  Or was it the 990?
