Can anyone tell the Difference between comply tx series foam tip and t series from real experience rather than just the ad that it has the was guard?

Would it make it that much difference?

Can was actually damage your earphones? As I find that slightly hard to believe, degrading the sound makes sense but damage?

It makes my SE530s about 1 tick softer on my D2+.  Your earwax might not damage the 'phones per se, but it could get stuck in so deep it sounds like crap, and be impossible to fix without opening the shells.  I've had several exciting adventures digging wax out of my phones, so I decided to go with the wax guard ones.
