DFW Meet #9 Date Decision. July 2010! (Dallas + Ft. Worth)

Well looks like it's the time of year again. So that we can have a nice meet and the most amount of people can attend I will need to know what the best date for people is. We have 3 possible dates, but 2 will work best since they would be in the Parr library which many of you already know is the best of the bunch.

 

Harrington: 17th

Parr: 24th or 31st

 

The meet will run from 10am to 5pm. The libraries now have new hours so we can no longer do from 9am.

 

If you are ok with any date please just select all of them. I will let this run for a few days and see which date to go with and then just either edit the thread or start a new one with more meet information and where you can post what you will bring.

 

Just so everyone knows below are the addresses of both libraries.

 

Parr Library
6200 Windhaven Pkwy

Harrington Library

Voted for the 24th but I can swing any of those dates. Really looking forward to attending....this would be my first meet. I'll try and bring whatever gear I can with me.

Guys I am not sure about the meet now due to such little demand probably due to Canjam I will let this run to the end of the week and see how it goes, but if we don't have at least 5 people I will have to postpone this to January and just skip the summer meet. On side note I can host a small meet at my house in July for those interested. I will have to work on a date if it comes down to it.

Aww. That's a shame. It looks like 5 people voted and a few more that maybe missed it but yeah doesn't seem to be much interest. Anyway, I'm still down if this does indeed happen or it's just a mini-meet.

Looks like a no go? Seems like southern mid-west area doesn't have many headphone enthusiasts. Perhaps it's because our towns are more spread out so more people have the ability to do speakers, while more highly concentrated areas like the East/West coasts have more apartments (and upscale apartments) and thus more headphones. I know most people in Oklahoma think speakers are real audio and headphones are just toys.

 

As much as I'd love to see a CanJam Dallas/Austin I just don't see enough interest.

I am in the process of moving, but as soon as I am more or less settled I will host a mini meet for who ever wants to come.
