Vcap TFTF are supposedly great, how about the OIMP? I wonder if it is worth that kind of $$ ( that is about the same $ as Mundorf SIO)....

They're pretty awesome when I used them, though I can't compare to the Mundorf, highest I've used was the older ZNs and they're just "OK".

do you use them straight, or TFTF by-pass is a must?

I'm sure you know well enough that no bypass is ever a "must" and as the concept of bypassing in itself is a little controversial, I don't think bypassing such a good quality capacitor should ever be considered "necessary".  Having done so and listened to the same caps by themselves, I'm sticking to that. :)

so far the only review I have found (of using OIMP as signal cap) is on ecp.cc, but it didn't say much.

Can anybody please give some insight on the OIMP's sound stage, detail level, and transparency, comparing to the Auri? I assumed Auri is no where near as good, but that is a cap that a lot of people have experience with and can be use as a easy reference.

Auricaps are quite lush, strong smooth mids while the OIMP are less so but certainly more revealing and cleaner sounding without adding a lot of midrange warmth.
