I just ordered a pair of ksc75's... im currently using a pair of meelectronics m9's.

So what mods should i do?

I've done some research and came up with these possible mods.

Kramer Mod

Wire Mesh Mod

Headband Mod

Quarter Mod

or Swap Pads with px200 pads

Recable

Resistor Mod( Can someone link me to a tutorial? I have no idea how to do this.)

I've done every mod known.  I didn't like the sound after the wire mesh mod.  I'd do a recable with Mogami 24awg OFC and slight Kramer mod (not too much). Headband mod if the clips don't fit your ears. (I personally don't mid the clips.)  I've tried PX200 pads but with the clips it didn't fit on my ears. Pads with headband mod makes sense but with this config they lost bass and soundstage.

Headband mod for sure. Headband-modded KSC75 is what I listen to at work. They're cheap, light, comfortable, small, unobtrusive, and sound great IMO. I haven't done any of the other mods, though.

Here's the source for headbands:

Be sure to read the reviews :)

Been wanting a decent set of portables that i can mod and throw around....figures ksc75's were the way to go.... debating if i should get some hd414 pads (have them on so sr60i's and they are really comfortable), some px200 pads....or pads off these http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.25433

which are ath-on3 fakes... looks like it'd fit.... and get a dollar store headband.  doing the kramer mod for sure... but i dunno about recabling

Just the simplest mod made the KSC75's a whole lot better for me - I removed them from the clips and put them on the Portapro headband. Better comfort, and the bass seemed to be more defined.

I've done the Kramer mod to mine and they sound quite good- I'm listening to mine on my full setup right now just for kicks.

My only concern with these is the quality- what I'm wearing is a combination of two sets. The cable died on one after a few months and the driver simply quit on the other. But what they seem to lack in build quality they more than make up for in sound. I remember comparing them favorably to my HD-280 when I still had them around.

Edit: I just put on my favorite version of Rhapsody in Blue and I... WOW. Sure, there's some distortion towards the end of the opening clarinet glissando and some other flaws, but I'm astounded at what these can pull off. Easily worth more than the asking price.
