Ribbon Cable Woes

Hey everyone, it's been a while.

I procured a higher-end integrated amp (c. $2k) for a song, as it needs repairs. I THINK I can do 3/4s of it, but I have one serious dilemma: ribbon cables. The salty SOB who had it before I scammed the dealer: he removed some high-quality parts, then returned it as "DOA," he then dropped off the map.

In the picture (downsized from 7MB so no one would kill me), you'll note three places for the ribbons to connect. The cables are attached to the usual plastic connectors elsewhere on the board (if you've ever worked with DVD/CD players or computers, then you've seen zillions of these), but the connectors(?) are missing in the photo.

Has anyone ever installed such a thing? I've done most of the work, but I'm at a loss on this one.

Thanks,

NK

Hi - can't say I have ever had to use/install these b4, but am assuming they are these: http://uk.farnell.com/ffc-fpc

Best to download some of the pdf's to decide which one(s) may fit.

The ribbon cables are also here: http://uk.farnell.com/jsp/level5/module.jsp?moduleId=en/418125.xml

Thanks. I have the cables, but am unsure of the connection soldering...
