Impressions Please!!! - Dell Streak 5" Smartphone/Tablet - Page 3

I'm now a owner of a Dell Streak as well, moved away from the iPhone hype. Out of the box with the 2.2 update and stock earphones, the sound is beyond horrible. I never heard so much background noise and thinness in my life, the entire frequency response is flat as a needle. I'm going to try some other earphones tomorrow, but I doubt it'll be better.

Either zzkatsuyazz is deaf or I've received some dead stock earphones.

Tried some iPhone earphones I had lying around today, the quality of the sound is way better when compared to the stock ones, but there's still background noise going on when you start a song. Must be the DAC used in the Streak.

Not really useable as a DAP in my opinion.

You're most welcome. I'm not using the Streak as a DAP anyway, so it's not that bad. For some quick listening and sharing songs with others the Dell Streak is good enough.
