Actually can someone tell me how to do it a bit more specifically. I can do stuff like making a web address a link but don't know how to make certain text into a link. What I mean is if I want a link that goes to say www.gmail.com  how to make it read as gmail instead of the web address. I can do it if I go to source and <a href... but the link options after you press the icon for link are pretty confusing for me. thanks!

How'd you do links in your sig then??

Anyway, considering your example:

1. Type in the text "gmail"

2. Select/highlight the text

3. Click on the link button - it will bring up a pop-up window

4. Type in the URL

i.e. gmail

You can also highlight the link you create and start typing text. The order with your steps is 3-4-2-1 basically.
