A question for old, old, old head-fiers only? Tuberoller related

Im trying to go back in time here, but do people remember the DVD player that once caught Tuberoller's fancy so as an audioplayer. I think it was a Pioneer, Marantz or a Philips. I can't remember the model. Maybe it was one of the first SACD or DVDA players? All I remember was that it was aimed first as a DVD player, but Tuberoller feel in love with its audio and we were all waiting on pins and needles for its arrival!

Crap... I think I know what you are talking about but the model is just as vague to me too.

Probably the Philips DVD963SA DVD/SACD Player

I recall it being somewhat bright in stock form, but it has been used by modders to improve the sound.

I think you're right. It must have been a Philips. There are so many models, I can scarely remember. Let me research the 963A. Thanks alot, Jpelg. I'll see if I can pair Tuberoller and the 963A!

Has enough time passed we can talk about what happened to Tuberoller yet?

I had one a few years ago. It unfortunately started to have tracking problems after about a year.
